Defining your ideal is 1/3 the work

Once you get clear on what you want, you're a third of the way there. That’s how I ended my last post, and it’s not motivational fluff:

Keeping that crystal clear vision top of mind primes your brain to look for what you want.

Opportunities come our way all the time. But we only notice what we’re already focused on.

You don’t have to make a drastic change if things are mostly working.

Define your ideal, write it down, make a practice of coming back to it regularly.

Then, dive back into the priorities in your current life, and start seeing the opportunities that would get you a little closer to what you really want.

Defining what you want is the first step. There are two more — you have to address your fears and doubts, and yes — the trusty, practical work of creating milestones and sustainable habits applies.

But don’t underestimate the driving power of a precisely defined vision.

What would you define? What does your ideal work life look like?
