Choose what you’re NOT going to do.

I was feeling behind in my Marketing efforts (and I literally am behind the schedule I outlined for myself), but then I remembered: I made every one of the choices that led to this outcome. And I made them intentionally.

I chose to prioritize another part of my business.
I decided my marketing efforts could be paused.
I intended to be offline for that time.

I’m not behind. I just can’t do everything. No one can.

Why was I expecting myself to do more than I can reasonably do? I know better than that.

It’s one of the first things I taught new team members in Onboarding when I was a Client Success leader: You cannot do everything this job requires. It’s literally not possible—even if you worked very productively 10 hours a day—to check all the boxes with all the clients. As a business, we know we can never do it all. We hire you, in part, to understand the priorities with the clients in your book, and decide which items to address.

So please don’t spend any time beating yourself up about what you didn’t do.
Instead, CHOOSE what you don’t do.

Then let go of the anxiety about not doing those things, and go be fully present with the tasks you have prioritized.

Walk with confidence, knowing you’ve done the very best you can with the time and resources available to you.
